This Cookie Statement explains how StubGuys LLC ("StubGuys," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, and SDKs — together, "Cookies") on our websites, embedded checkout, and mobile applications ("Online Properties"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
Current state: we do set cookies, and every one of them is named on this page. A previous version of this statement said we set none. That was wrong, and this version corrects it. The tables below are generated directly from the same list our website code reads when it decides whether it is allowed to set a cookie, so what you read here is what actually runs.
Optional cookies are off until you turn them on. The only cookies we set before you have made a choice are the ones in Strictly Necessary below. Analytics and Advertising cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time using the button under Cookie Management.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies set by StubGuys are "first-party cookies." Cookies set by others (for example, advertising platforms) are "third-party cookies." Organizers embedding StubGuys checkout on their own sites may also use their own cookies on their pages; those are governed by the Organizer's policies.
Some information is stored on your device without being a cookie in the strict sense — browser local storage, session storage, and the storage our sign-in provider uses. The law that governs cookies in the EU and UK covers all of it, so we list it here too rather than describing only literal cookies.
Cookies our own code writes are all first-party, and there is one situation where third-party cookies can appear: an organizer can connect their own advertising pixel (Meta, Google, or TikTok) to measure their campaigns. Those pixels run only on that organizer's event and checkout pages, only if you have opted in to Advertising cookies, and every cookie they set is named in the Advertising section below. We do not sell Personal Data.
Types of Cookies We Use
Four categories, described in full below. Only the first is set without asking you.
- Strictly Necessary — always on; the site cannot work without them.
- Functional — remembers a preference you set yourself.
- Analytics — off unless you opt in.
- Advertising — off unless you opt in.
Strictly Necessary
These are required to deliver the site and the things you ask it to do. They cannot be switched off, and under EU/UK rules they do not require consent, because they exist only to provide a service you explicitly requested.

Our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication, operated by Google) uses browser storage rather than a traditional cookie to keep you signed in. It is written only after you sign in.
Functional
These remember a choice you made yourself. They contain no identifier and are not used to build a profile of you. They are written only at the moment you make the choice — if you never change your language or your theme, nothing in this category is ever stored.

Because these record only a preference you actively selected, we treat them as part of providing the site you asked for rather than as tracking, and we do not block them behind the consent banner. If you would rather not have them at all, you can clear or block them with your browser controls, and the site will simply fall back to its defaults.
Analytics and Performance
Off unless you opt in. We operate no third-party analytics, no crash-reporting tool, and no cross-site usage tracking. What we do have is a first-party de-duplication marker that stops an organizer's click count being inflated when the same browser follows the same promoted link twice.

If we ever add a third-party analytics tool, we will name it on this page and ask for your consent before it runs.
Advertising
Off unless you opt in. Two different things live in this category, and both stay off until you accept it.
Our own attribution cookie. Organizers can pay to promote their events on StubGuys. If you accept this category and then click a promoted listing, we store which campaign you came from, so that if you later buy a ticket for that event the organizer can see their promotion worked. This cookie is first-party and does not follow you to other websites.

Organizer advertising pixels (third-party). An organizer can connect their own Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag, or TikTok Pixel to StubGuys so they can measure whether the ads they run on those platforms lead to ticket sales. On that organizer's event and checkout pages — and only if you have opted in to Advertising — our site loads the vendor's measurement script, and that script sets the cookies below. They are written by the vendor, not by us, and each vendor processes the data under its own privacy policy (Meta, Google, and TikTok each publish one). Withdrawing your consent stops the pixels from loading and actively deletes these cookies from your browser.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, Analytics and Advertising cookies stay off and cannot be enabled from our banner.
We also count how often a promoted placement was shown or clicked, in order to bill organizers for the placements they actually received. That counting uses a randomly generated identifier that is discarded when you leave the page, and it stores nothing on your device.
Duration
Each cookie's lifetime is listed in its row above. Session cookies and session storage are discarded when you close the tab or your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them, and we set each with the shortest lifetime practical for its purpose. Our record of your cookie choices lasts one year, after which we will ask you again.
Cookie Management
You can change your choices here at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and when you withdraw it we delete the cookies in that category from your browser rather than merely stopping at the next one.
You can also manage cookies through your browser controls and your mobile OS settings, block them entirely, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor. Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working — including staying signed in. For more on the data we collect, see our Privacy Policy.
Updates and Contact
We will update this Cookie Statement before turning on any new cookie category, and to reflect changes in technology or law. If we add a new optional purpose, your existing choice stops counting as consent for it and we will ask you again. Questions: privacy@stubguys.com.
