This Cookie Statement explains how StubGuys LLC ("StubGuys," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, and SDKs — together, "Cookies") on our websites, embedded checkout, and mobile applications ("Online Properties"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
Current state: our website is served as a static site and does not set any cookies today — no session cookie, analytics cookie, or advertising cookie of any kind. Because we set no cookies, no cookie-consent banner is currently displayed; one isn't required for a site that sets none. The categories below describe our intended cookie framework once account sign-in and any analytics/marketing technology are active, and each is marked "Not currently used" until then. We will update this page — and add a consent banner where required — before any analytics or marketing technology goes live.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies set by StubGuys are "first-party cookies." Cookies set by others (for example, analytics providers) are "third-party cookies." Organizers embedding StubGuys checkout on their own sites may also use their own cookies on their pages; those are governed by the Organizer's policies. Our site currently uses none of these — see below.
Types of Cookies We Use
None of the categories below are active on our site today. When sign-in is fully enabled, our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication, operated by Google) uses browser storage (not a traditional cookie, but a similar technology) strictly to keep you signed in — this is Strictly Necessary and does not require consent-banner approval under EU/UK ePrivacy rules, because it is used only to provide the login you explicitly requested. No Functional, Analytics, or Advertising cookies are set by us today.
Strictly Necessary
Not currently used. Once account sign-in is fully active, this category will cover session management and sign-in state (via Firebase Authentication browser storage). These cannot be switched off once introduced, because they are required for the sign-in you request.
Functional
Not currently used. If introduced, this category would remember your choices — language, region, theme preference (light or dark mode), and dismissed notices — to give you a more personal experience.
Analytics and Performance
Not currently used. We do not operate any analytics, crash-reporting, or usage-tracking tool today. If we add one — to understand how pages are used or where errors occur — we will name the specific tool here and, where legally required, obtain your consent first via a cookie/consent banner.
Advertising
Not currently used. We do not operate any advertising or cross-site tracking technology. We do not sell Personal Data, and if advertising technology is ever introduced, we will honor opt-outs including the Global Privacy Control signal and obtain consent where required before it is active.
Duration
Not applicable today, since no cookies are set. Once introduced, session cookies would expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies would remain until they expire or you delete them, set with the shortest lifetime practical for their purpose.
Cookie Management
No cookie banner or settings page is needed today because we set no cookies. Before we introduce any analytics or marketing technology, we will build a consent-management banner and settings page for EEA/UK/California visitors, allowing you to accept or reject non-essential categories. Until then, you can still manage cookies generally through your browser controls (blocking or deleting cookies) and mobile OS settings. For more on the data we collect, see our Privacy Policy.
Updates and Contact
We will update this Cookie Statement before turning on any new cookie category, and to reflect changes in technology or law; check back periodically. Questions: privacy@stubguys.com.
